Why Service?
“Throughout my life I have felt the need to always give back to my community and others around me. Not because I have to, but because I want to. Service others and seeing them flourish means more to me than anything this world has to offer. I feel like service has always lit a spark in me, and always will. Service pushes you out of your comfort zone and into the different perspectives of individuals. I have learned that everyone does not see through the same lens.”
What were you doing before Choice?
“Before Choice, I was an employee at M&T Bank. It was a pretty straightforward job, but would eventually lack excitement and interest for me. ”
What has been your most memorable moment with a youth at Choice?
“I think it has to be the time when I took one of my youth to see his first college football game. The look on his face after walking into the stadium was priceless and rewarding. It still sticks with me today and embodies my commitment to serve others.”
Favorite on-the-go snack?
“Dunkin’ Donuts chocolate frosted donut, lol.”
What do you do for self-care?
“I think the most important thing to do for self-care is to work out. Working out has benefitted me in the long run. Going to the gym is my oasis, if that makes any sense. It is something I do, whenever I have the time, in order to unwind from a stressful or busy day.”
