The Career Exploration Team offers engaging career explorational programming and mentorship services for Baltimore City and County youth aged 14-24.
This program’s goal is to help youth learn more about themselves and start thinking about their future by setting goals that are important to them. We also aim to provide support for the youth to explore, research, and apply to jobs or schools that will get them ready for their future careers.
How to join
- Fill out our Sign Up Form
- We will contact the youth’s parent/caregiver to schedule a one-hour welcome meeting with them and the youth at a convenient place (their home, a library, a rec center). This meeting is to connect us all and answer any questions.
- We will meet again for the youth to set three goals. These goals typically relate to job skill readiness, financial literacy, job placement exploration, and college campus visit experiences.
- A workforce and educational engagement coordinator will support the youth achieve their goals, provide mentorship, and share resources as needed.
